Welcome to Eden!!!

Hello friends!

I have missed you all so much! Hope you are doing well. I have been hanging in there, meditating on what is really important to me; what I truly wish to accomplish with my life and career. Yesterday was the 63rd annual Grammy awards and it reminded me of where I want my music to be; the type of art I want to create.

With that being said, I wanted to formally invite you all to “Eden”. This is the first song I have released that I have written, recorded, and produced all on my own! To have you all support it means the WORLD to me.

“Eden” came from a longing to be found. 2020 was a cluster f**k for just about everyone. I felt so lost and when those feelings come over me I have to write my way out…so I did. Eden to me is a place of freedom, joy, and passion. My mother’s home, the home of my childhood, has always been that for me.

"Take me back to Eden

A garden of our own

I need a break from all this

I need to go back home“

Normally, when I write I start with guitar or piano. Last year I decided to take a different approach to songwriting. In late October/early November of 2020, I began producing tracks first and then writing to them. It was exhilarating; like an electric charge to my creativity. Of all the tracks I created, “Eden“ seemed to be the best to usher in a new era of music for me and I was shocked at the reception. The love I have received for this track has reminded me why I do what I do and I cannot wait to give you all more of me.

I could not have done it all by myself though. I want to give a deep-felt thank you to Jean Nelson, Michelle Kelso, Brian Jenosa, Mike Ofili, Gabby Kelso, and Marquis Hardy for helping me bring my vision to life. I have known my entire life that it takes a village to raise a child, and in many aspects, careers are like children. They take perseverance, dedication, patience, and love to grow. I am so thankful to my family, friends, and all the musicians loving on me and my gifts! We’ve still got so much work to do, but I grow stronger every day because of them.

I love you all very deeply and I am sending light always!
