NEW MUSIC...FINALLY!!!

Hey y’all!

It’s been quite a while since I have made a post and I apologize for that. Quarantine, Covid-19, and life have just been beating my ass a bit, but I wanted to check in to let you all know what I have been up to.

If you missed it, I dropped my first official music video for “Baptize Me”, about 3 months ago. I dropped it in celebration of the two year anniversary of my album, “Baptize Me“, but also to take a step towards getting over my desire to be perfect.

For those closest to, you know how bad I want anything I do to be “perfect”.

As I have gotten older, I’ve realized that perfection is not attainable…there will ALWAYS be something that can be improved upon. However, you can create something that is EXCELLENT; something you are truly proud of and that’s what I am striving for.

At the end of the Baptize Me Music video I announced that I would be releasing an acoustic mixtape titled “Baptize Me in T.N.T“ June 2020 and that obviously did not happen for several reasons. Mainly, I got in my head if I’m being honest. My boyfriend and I also caught Covid in late June/early July…so it was just a lot overall.

When I started to feel like myself again, I sat with this project and began to obsess a bit. I recored it all at home with my modest studio setup and I just harped over EVERY. LITTLE. THING. I could not be satisfied *Angelica Schuyler voice*

After playing with the recordings as much as I could, and talking with my BF/Family I realized that it was time to let this project go…to give it to you all to enjoy and move on to the new music.

This mixtape was always suppose to be a labor of love; an intimate project for you all to see how all these songs came to life. 99% of my music starts with just me and a guitar, and I wanted to give you all a project that reflected that.

Listening to it now, I love it because I am listening to it for what it is and not what I think it should be. It is excellent and I hope you all love it as much as I do.

Who knows, maybe I’ll remaster it in the future…Full band anyone?
